4/15 "Boston"

It is crazy that in a split second tragedy can strike and the lives of us or the ones we love can be forever changed. After watching the news reports about what happened in Boston I couldn't imagine what it must have been like to be there and see those things. It is such a heartbreaking incident and I hope that what I am about to say isn't spoken naively.I hope that we as mothers, daughters, fathers, and sons don't close our eyes to what happened but that we open them to this event and work through how to hope and love in the midst of it. I hope that we can come to a place like BCF and introduce ourselves to our neighbor, that we can high-five our fellow WODers in the gym, and that we have gratitude for legs that run and arms that lift, because none of us know what will happen tomorrow.Fear is a mechanism that keeps us safe but it can also consume and cripple us. Evil wants us to fear, hate, and close ourselves off from the rest of the world. Don't let it win. Instead turn off the news every once in a while, hold your loved ones close, play with your kids, hold doors open, and work out hard(and eat paleo brownies)So glad to hear that BCF's own Mary Wiczynski and Tristan Brown made it back from Boston safe!Strength: Back Squat - 3X3 @ 80%, 1X2 @ 85%, 2X2 @ 90% – rest as neededWOD: 1 min ME KBS (55/35)AMRAP 11 of 7 front squat @70% (no racks), 20 lateral jumps, 7 KTE1 min ME KBS (55/35)
