Welcome, Joe and Lyndsay, to the Coaches Development Program (CDP).
We’re excited to announce our 1st interns of 2017, Joe Paul and Lyndsay Zwirlein, into our Coaches Development Program (CDP) .
Badger CrossFit prides itself on having some of the best CrossFit coaching in the country. With such a high standard, we do not bring on many potential coaches to coach our athletes. The course can last anywhere from 3 – 12 months (i.e. attendance to coaching classes, homework, successful testing, etc.). The CDP is our way of ensuring coaches are here to learn, lead, and provide the proper instruction and vibe to our members and future members, or just learn the ins and outs of coaching in general in a functional fitness facility. We pride ourselves in this program, and helping the coaches meet their goals of becoming coaches, whether full-time or part-time with our organization.
You will see Joe and Lyndsay in our classes and soon leading them after a certain period of time. Be sure to say hi, and congratulate them on their new endeavors with our organization.
I have been an athlete at Badger for about 2.5 years. While most of my focus has been on traditional CF classes, I also spent time doing Weightlifting to improve my olympic lifts before finally taking my L1 last Summer. Back in the day I used to be a cross country runner and part time Bikram yoga aficionado. Nowadays I am a Regional Sales Consultant at Northwestern Mutual by day and CrossFitter (and still part time yogi!) by night. I am looking forward to seeing you all in classes and being a resource however I can to help you reach your goals!
I was a college football player and team captain at Concordia University Wisconsin from 2010-2014. Since graduating in 2014, I have been a football coach and teacher at Pius XI high school. I currently serve in the Army National Guard, where we also like to carry heavy stuff, fast and far.
The way the training is done at BCF really allows its members to come in and focus all effort into fun, fitness, and community. I just love the confidence and sense of freedom to become better that CrossFit gave me, and I want everyone to have that same opportunity. I want to help you reach fitness goals as well as prepare you to run, bike, swim, hike, jump, swim, or just MOVE to the best of your abilities!
