Introducing our new nutrition coaches!

We are excited to announce our new nutrition coaches at BCF: Alyssa Arnold and Jesalyn Johnson! Please welcome them!

Over the last 4-5 months, Jesalyn and Alyssa have both been actively studying to become certified Nutrition Coaches through WAG and Precision Nutrition certification programs.

Please stay tuned for more exciting announcements and developments as we revamp our Nutrition Program to help you even more on your quest to become the “Best Version of You!”

Meet Alyssa

Alyssa became focused on her own nutritional journey when she first joined CrossFit in 2017. It was the first time she heard food discussed as a way to fuel your body, and function at your very best. That idea inspired her to focus on the quality of her own nutritional intake. Not only could she start to see her performance in CrossFit rise, but her overall energy and confidence levels were boosted significantly. When she realized she was onto something, she decided to start tracking her macronutrients to further improve her performance and energy. She’s continued that way ever since.

The more knowledge she gained through experience, the more she wanted to share with that knowledge with everyone around her! The fact that what you put into your body can improve how you feel, function, and your overall quality of life is simply incredible. This realization helped Alyssa see how badly she wanted to share that experience with others.

Alyssa now is a Level 1 Precision Nutrition Coach, and is eager to help you improve many aspects of your life through nutrition!

Meet Jesalyn

Jesalyn is a mom of 3 kids; 17 year old, 5 year old and 20 month old, a Bootcamp coach, CF Level 1 Trainer, and a WAG Certified Nutrition Coach. When she is not training, she is enjoying life with her family, cooking, trying new foods, and getting outside as much as I can.

Jesalyn has been in the fitness industry for almost 10 years. Before starting the journey to become a nutrition coach, she worked in the corporate world for 5 years. However, her passion for nutrition and fitness runs deep, and she is now back in makes her happy!

When she became a mom, she had no idea how much her life would change. She realized how important it was to take care of herself in the ways that felt good for her (not someone else’s idea of what she should be), while still being able to fit her busy, unpredictable, full time working mom life! She wanted this not only for her well being but also so she could show up and be the person she wanted to be for her family and career.

She personally knows the struggles of what it’s like to be a mom, working full time and balancing everything in life. Life happens! What we need more than ever is that self-compassion and flexibility in our lives, particularly when it comes to our overall health and well-being.

Jesalyn has her a B.S. in Health Promotion and Wellness from UW Stevens Point and B.S. in Exercise Science from Carroll University. She was also a college athlete as a 400 meter sprinter for the track and field team. She has completed extensive training and certifications, as well as personal experience and combined it with effective and evidence-based coaching skills to help individuals improve and meet their fitness and nutrition goals.

Her main focus as coach is to get clients back to feeling like their best self when it comes to their overall health and performance.

If you are someone who is looking to reclaim your time and energy in your day, look and feel your best, all while conquering the demands of work life, family, getting to the gym and all while still having time for yourself, Jesalyn is ready.
