What is your fitness background? What were you doing before CrossFit? I had not worked out ‘formally’ since I was 20. I started going to an athletic club in September,2011. In highschool I was a Varsity State Track and Cross country runner. I also was a competetive(sponsered)snowboarder through college.

How did you get into CrossFit? After I had my 3rd child I felt that I needed to get back into fighting shape.I had taken advantage of always being relatively skinny, but I was starting to loose my muscle tone that I always appreciated. I heard about the Saturday morning classes at BCF through a friend of mine and decided to try.I started the February Elements class of 2012 and that was it for me.I fell in love!

How have you changed since starting Badger CrossFit? I have so much more energy.I also care so much more about my health.I went years without ‘working out’ and now I can’t go more than a day without doing some sort of a workout. My muscle tone is close to what it was 15 years ago!I could not be happier with the positivity it has brought into my life!

What are your goals for 2013? Where are you in terms of achieving them? I want to get faster, stronger and to be able to do unassisted pull-ups for the entire WOD!I also really want to get better mobility.I have never been flexible and it is something that is very important to me.I want to get all the movements done in proper form!

What makes Badger CrossFit unique? The members!Everyone at BCF is supportive, motivating and admirable.Honestly,it is a huge appeal to the gym.Everyone is helpful and insightful. Tyler and Amy have also been so good to me since I started. They make you feel very welcome and want what is best for you!

Any best BCF stories?  Quite a few.Its hard to pick just one:)

What advice do you have for people just getting started? Take it one day at a time and you will improve dramatically. You will have a better mental state, physical state and your strength will improve more than you could ever realize.Believe in yourself and keep pushing!Be the best you!
