I’ve been there before — following the fitness, eating my macros, drinking water, avoiding alcohol — and still the scale doesn’t move. My strength/mobility/Fran time stay stuck. And I ask myself, is it worth it? All this hard work for nothing…
But is it really for nothing?
Because if I didn’t follow said prescription — if I skipped the gym, ate what I wanted, drank every weekend — I’d be in a very different position of health.
Giving up, sliding back is easy. It requires little effort.
But claiming the goals you’ve already accomplished requires just as much work as it does to move forward. And maintenance is still progress.
So the next time you want to give up your current position of health, consider how far you’ve come…and reconsider.
