What is your fitness background? What were you doing before CrossFit? Long distance running- over 25 Marathons, 6 50ks, 1 50 miler
How did you get into CrossFit? Troy introduced me to it from a friend of his
How have you changed since starting Badger CrossFit? A ton stronger, leaner, faster. Use to think longer the workout the better. Now I know how to train smarter, which doesn’t mean longer.
What are your goals for 2012? Where are you in terms of achieving them? Work on form with olympic lifts, Get stronger (this is a never ending goal) and Able to do Murph RX- with weighted vest — Olympic lifts and weighted pull-ups 3-4 times per week”
What makes Badger CrossFit unique? Community
Any best BCF stories? Not really one story but I love being there when someone gets their first pull-up, muscle up, HSPU. I love seeing the excitement on their face.
What advice do you have for people just getting started? Don’t compare yourself to anyone else. Don’t worry about how you look during any movements or workouts, no one cares. Everyones there to better themselves, everyone has weaknesses (your not the only one) so just attack one thing at a time.
