This week we catch up with one of our consistent 5am WOD Beta-testers, Mark Noller — Crossfitting since: August 2014 — A little about yourself: I grew up in Fond du Lac WI and went to UW-Milwaukee for my bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. I work at Harley-Davidson designing electronic accessories with a focus on infotainment (audio) and lighting. Nerd alert!!! I am a self-proclaimed techie, and my current project focuses mostly around making my 1926 Tosa house the smartest building on the block. When I'm not talking about Crossfit, you can typically find me preaching about internet security, secure passwords, video camera, home automation or some other internet of things (IoT) device — How did you get into CrossFit? I was working full-time and going to school as well as homebrewing beer every other weekend.  There was basically no time for working out.  I would tell myself it was going to be easy to get back into a routine. I could not have been more wrong… I tried spin classes, treadmills, P90x, swimming and weights with little success. I had no consistency and no accountability.  When I actually went to the gym, I had good intentions of running, however it seemed that I got more use out of the steam room than I did any other part of the gym. One day I was out boating with some friends when one of the guys brought up Crossfit.  He described how great it was just to show up and get a different workout every time. I was very intrigued by the concept and started researching the minute I got home. (Big Surprise for anyone who knows me). I signed up for Muskego Crossfit's elements class the following week and never looked back — How has CrossFit changed you outside the gym? The friendships I have made through the gym are some of the strongest (pun intended) I have ever had. I think I am in the best "fitness" shape of my life — What makes Badger CrossFit unique? The members! How many gyms will you find 20+ people showing up at 5 am almost every day? They even show up at 5 am on days they don't workout!!! #membermonday #mondaymotivation #motivation #badgercrossfit #badgerbuilt #hardwork #consistency #results #reebokrecognized
