This week we check in with one of our 6am regulars and Kettlebell master, Clint Badger. — Crossfitting since: Half-ass since 2012. — A little about yourself: Yes, my last name is Badger, originally from Salt Lake City, I do Marine Science for U.S. Coast Guard, which is what brought us to the MKE area from New England. My wife, Meghann and our two boys love Tosa and we will truly miss it. We recently found out that we will be transferring to San Francisco this summer. Although we are sad to go, we are excited on our new adventure, we have been blessed to see so many cool areas and take a little bit of each place with us. — How did you get into CrossFit? My wife went to sign up and check out the first class, been involved ever since. We have been to three different gyms, had multiple coaches, met so many cool people and formed great friends along the way. — How has CrossFit changed you outside the gym? I have loved that CrossFit has changed my perspective on body movement and mobility, and how that movement impacts so many other aspects in our lives. I appreciate the many facets that CrossFit utilizes, it’s a platform that introduces us to any other aspects of fitness. As we have moved around, it has also been an easy way for us to meet good people. — What makes Badger CrossFit unique? The people (community), facility and the coaches. — Advice for people just getting started: Stick with the process and do not be afraid to scale, Rx isn’t Rx if your form is sloppy. Take all coaches suggestion as if they are trying to help you succeed, cus they are. Know when to push yourself and when to hold back, when to be humble and be proud.
