5/26 “Memorial Day Murph”

 

Thanks to all the BCF athletes, their families and friends for coming out to support #mdm#crossfit #releasethebeast.

We must always remember the ultimate sacrifice that our men, women and even animal make to ensure our country has what is has. There is nothing more important than the freedom we enjoy today. It’s because of these amazing people that we stay safe and free. Thank you to all these brave people, their family and friends for the the service to the USA.

In the community of CrossFit, we use hero workouts to remember fellow CrossFitters who have fallen in their line of duty or service – from the US military to the local policemen/women. Today, we honored a very famous war hero, Michael Murphy. We did the workout known as “Murph” as a way to give us a glimpse into the pain and suffering they have gone through. It’s our way of saying thank you for your sacrifice, your love of country, your way of life — to protect those who you did not know; me and you.

WOD: “Murph”

1 mile Run, 100 pullups 200 pushups, 300 squats, 1 mile run.
