After reaching 293 pounds six years ago Salas dedicated himself to his health. There he was last Saturday, 45 year sold, killing it at the 2016 CrossFit Games Open at Badger CrossFit in Wauwatosa, nearly 100 pounds lighter and completely off medication. The change is his health and physique is remarkable but here’s the point of his story: “It’s not an overnight transformation,” said Salas. “There are ups and downs. You have to constantly re-evaluate and reassess your goals.
