A little about yourself:
I have been the Director of Annual Giving for 11 years at Jewish Family Services, a health and human services agency in Milwaukee.

I’m married, with no kids, which allows me to spend an inordinate amount of my time racing bicycles and running!!

Background before you started CrossFit:
I’ve been running for 6 years and have been cycling since the beginning of time, although I’ve only been cycling competitively for 4 years.

How did you get into CrossFit?
I’d heard a lot about CrossFit over the years…good and bad, of course. But I really wanted to try something that would enhance my cycling and running and make me push myself to become stronger overall and CrossFit seems to fit the bill!

What is your favorite WOD or movement?
Lots of ‘em are fun…all are challenging! I prefer the back squat and bench press.

Least favorite?
I don’t really think I have a least favorite…I just have a long list of moves I’m not yet good at (overhead squat, you are so cruel to me!)

How has CrossFit changed you outside of the gym?
I’m able to lift weight that I never thought I could, so my new mantra is ‘Never Say Never’.

What makes Badger CrossFit unique?
I’ve never been to another CrossFit gym, but the coaches and members of BCF are some of the nicest and most welcoming people I’ve ever met. I have always played team sports and it’s important to know that, as a team, ‘we’re all in this together’ and that’s how I feel when I work out at BCF!

What time do you WOD?
6am, 3days per week

What advice do you have for people first getting started?
Just do it…you will love it! You will be amazed by how much you grow emotionally and physically from this sport. Yay CrossFit!!
